Argyll Pizza at The Delicatessen. The Delicatessen is a small family run business in Eastham on The Wirral. Argyll Pizza started in 1973 to great success. It offered authentic Italian stone-based oven baked pizzas until the mid 90s when a change of management saw the pizza side of things wound down.
However, in the year 2000 one of the original pizza chefs - Dave - resurected Argyll Pizza at his own restaurant in Spital. The pizzas were very successful and in 2006 they came 'home' to the Argyll. Over 2006 and 2007 we worked closely with Dave to ensure the pizzas were as authentic and great tasting as ever. In late 2007 Dave decided to switch to a career in sales and left Argyll Pizza in our safe hands.
In December 2008 we moved to new premises on Plymyard Avenue called 'The Delicatessen'. We have a large stone based oven and even the original dough mixer used in the Argyll in the seventies! The Delicatessen is not a restaurant or a takeaway so pizza can only be delivered to your home, but please feel free to pop in for a chat and a sandwhich during the day!
